Quilt show excitment
Alot of walking, and alot of things to see.
I am afraid my wallet received some damage. And I was not the only one, right Jan?
But it was worth it.
It was an exausting day with so much to see and look at. And I and my sister came home with our share of packages.
And now it is time to get back to the daily gind, and no more day dreaming about those quilts or what to do with our new stash.......................

Truly a Newbie
I truly am a Newbie. I am getting so frustrated with this BOM quilt!!!!! First of all let me tell ya, there really is a difference between good quality material and material you buy at JoAnn's. I went to JoAnn's last year armed with my instructions and fabric requirements with high expectations of making this quilt for my daughter's wedding. Well I tell you what, I am so disapointed and ashamed to give them this quilt. I make mistakes and each time I rip out a seam the material shreds more and more. It is very thin and that makes it harder to line it up because it streches out.
It took me most of Easter sunday to get it this far. Nothing is lineing up. I need to give it up for the day. Three rows are sewed together and the last two rows just don't want to line up.
Sometimes you just gotta stop...................

End of a long weekend
I spent the weekend in Green Bay with my yougest daughter and her fiance. We did a little shopping and a little gambling at the casino.
One of the main reasons for going to Green Bay was a saturday spent with My Favorit Quilt Shop. Janna, the owner gave me a guilting refresher course.
She helped me make this wall hanging for my daughter. I learned to cut more accuratly, how to make my 1/4" seams and some tips on applique.
I was very pleased with the lesson and wished we had more time together to learn some tips on putting on binding. Oh well there will be more days to get together.
This wall hanging will be my daughter's and fiance's guest book at their wedding in August. Instead of signing a book that will be packed away, the guests will be asked to sign this wall hanging and it will decorate the kid's home for years to come.
And Zoey went with me to Green Bay to visit her buddy Molly. These two seem inseparable. Now that we are home, Zoey has been sleeping most of the day away. I guess she tuckered herself out playing so hard with Molly.
So we both had a great time in Green Bay.
