Another Quilt done!!!!!

Another one done!!!!!! Wow does that feel good................................
Sorry I couldn't join the quiltathon this weekend. This was my one weekend a month that I do grandma duty all weekend. I babysit from early in the morning on saturday till 8 o'clock on sunday evening. And when the girls were in bed I took advatage of my alone time to finsh the hand sewing on the binding on this fat quarter quilt. This is the quilt I used to practice on the long arm a month ago. I am very proud of how it turned out.
I am trying to make some time to finsh the instructions for the BOM quilt. At least I need to get that part done before the last of the instructions come next month.

Another UFO finshed

I finished a UFO!!! Just finished the binding on it last nite. Even got the lable on it. This was a project that I started last fall, so it feels wonderful to finally have it done.

I am working on finishing another one right now. It just needs it's binding sewed on and the lable too. Man oh man, does that make you feel good when you can get projects done after they have been around for a long time. Some of the gals at my quilt club have UFO's that have been around for a couple years. I am sure I will get to be that bad too.

I actually have one still sitting here that I do a block once in awile. Hopefully it won't take me years to finish.

Relaxing time away

These deer came to visit me and my sister every nite while up in Michigan. The days seemed to go fast for me and my sister Jan, and we tried to spend each day together' and I had such a relaxing time.
My poor sister on the other hand was not feeling the best. She caught some kind of virus and was pretty sick. She felt bad that she was such bad company. It was a nice time despite the fact that she was sick and limited to what we could do.

This is a quilt that I was able to finish in time for my yougest daughter's birthday. My sister did all the machine quilting on this quilt. It really turned out great and my daughter seemed pleased with it.
Now that I am back home, there seems to be so much that has piled up while I was gone. The office isn't any different. My goodness, I can't even see the top of my desk at the office.
So I have been busy every nite so far, grocery shopping and doing wash. And it is only tuesday,,,,,,,,,my goodness much more to do. I am trying to get most of those little things done before the weekend. Hopefully I will have time to work on the BOM from Judy Laquidara's blog.

BOM 12 & 13

I am posting both BOM'S on the last Mr. Linky because I finally got a chance to finish them on the same day. Today was a productive day and while it snows and blows outside, I am toasty warm in my sewing room.

BOM 12 I only took apart like 9 times, not sure what it was about this block. I just couldn't seem to match anything up. Now BOM 13 went together without any problems. Figure that one out.
Anyways I have included a picture of all 13. Now I am excited about putting them all together.

Tuesday morning

Since it has been quite awile since I blogged, I thought I would just jot a quite note to my blog.

My brother is home from the hospital, and while it will be a slow recovery for him, he is on his way to getting back on his feet. This past weekend was very full with babysitting my two grand daughters, so the weekend went fast.

I am hopeing to get some sewing in this weekend, but first I need to shampoo this carpet. So that is on the top of my prioity list. The month of March's weekends have filled up for me. It seems I am always doing something or needed somewhere.

But my big news to look forward to this month is a visit to my sister's for 5 days up in Michigan. I am so looking forward to it. I leave early in the morning on the 11th. We are trying to learn a new project for our time together. A knitting loom. We are making socks. So far I am not doing well, but I have to keep practiceing. Will post more later on that.
